Eden Celeb and Cygnet – New ownership, new functions.

Eden Celebration and Eden Siskin were formally decommissioned a few weeks ago and were immediately purchased by Evelyne DeCuir (evelyne.bourdeille) and her partner Dona DeCuir (donato.decuir).  They intend to build a clubhouse for their group The Bumrose Club and a small airstrip. Eden Cygnet, which was a popular but loss-making surfing sim is to be re-imagined as a beautiful beach area that will become opened up to the public once it has finished.  The good news is that Eden Cygnet will one again be a surfing area – this time with better waves!

All the waterways around the islands in the two sims will be navigable and free to sail in and the simswill be free for you to enjoy and explore (apart from the owner’s private residency at the North of Cygnet)

Eden Siskin, the home of the Eden Yacht and Boat Club for many years, is to be redeveloped as rental slips and the EYBC is being relocated to a new home – more later on this.

Update to Eden Celebration

Eden Celebration – latest news

The Bumrose Club

Evelyne DeCuir (evelyne.bourdeille) and her partner Dona DeCuir (donato.decuir), are busy constructing their club house (which will also be open to the public, later).  As you can see, it looks fantastic and it’s not even half completed!

The club will become home to the adult group known as The Bumrose Club, a club for “like-minded people that enjoy details as much on their looks than on their environment, but also a place for lewd enjoyment. It is not all about sex, but about relaxing too, or relaxing in a very lusty place.”  This will be Eden’s first ever adult sim and it’s new rating reflects that. Evelyne has assured us that any adult activities will be kept well within the confines of their sim, which makes it no different to any other privately owned sim in Eden.

The old Eden Celebration Conference Centre was under-used as was the airfield, and the Stage was an expensive feature that was a drain on the resources of the estate. This new venture will help balance the finances and bring a much-needed impetus to the area.  The Bumrose Club already has a huge number of members who will come to relax at the club and will no doubt want to sail and explore the area.

Security Orbs – wasp nests and bee nests

Security orb alternatives

Security orb alternatives

WaspAttackAd1

The waters and the airspace around all the Eden islands must allow free passage to the public and the Eden wildlife, such as fish and seagulls.  As you probably know, we do not allow security orbs or ban lines in Eden for this reason.  Security devices (and ban lines in particular) can capture boats and planes and have been known to cause chaos to yacht races.

Of course, as owners of your parcel, you can ban people from your parcel if they are being a continual nuisance. However, if you are not happy with strangers entering your home while you are not there (hey, what are they gonna do?)  then you can use the following recommended security devices.

Instead, you can use a Bee Hive Security system.  This item blends in with the Eden ethos of naturist living!  Wasps work well on naturists, as well as bees!  Just make sure that the Eden staff are added to the friends list so we can continue to maintain the islands.

The Eden Wheel – new Christmas attraction 2013

The Eden Wheel is a massive Ferris Wheel similar to the London Eye. You’ll find it in Eden Celebration by the internal harbour.  You can hop on and take a seat and it will slowly rotate the pod around the circumference (twice) so you can enjoy the best views in Second Life. You can see clear across the gardens of the Eden Conference Centre, Eden Celebration and Eden Siskin, the home base of the EYBC.  Turn your view distance up to the max and switch to mouse view and enjoy looking across over dozens of sims of the beautiful tropical islands and waterways of Eden.  Like everything else in Eden, it’s best experienced when you’re naked.

On Patrol in Eden

We have a couple of new Patrol Boats on duty around the waterways of Eden..  For all you boat-spotters, here’s a glimpse of what to keep an eye out for.  If you see us passing, give us a wave, or call us over if you need us for anything.

Eden Estate Patrol – new boat

Eden has a new Patrol Boat. You’ll often see it cruising around the Eden waterways, looking for abandoned boats or lost prims.  Commissioned by Elbag, built by Tig Spijkers, customised by Sal Fireguard and named Brenda, after the landscape architect of Eden.
